Exploring Rajasthan by bike is an exhilarating way to experience the diverse landscapes, rich heritage, and magnificent palaces scattered across the region. The journey between the desert and palaces offers a captivating mix of adventures.

Day 1: Jaipur:

 You are greeted at Jaipur airport by the representative of Passion India to welcome you in India. He will provide you with the transfer to the hotel that we have reserved for two nights.

One of the most pleasant and lively cities in India. The vibrant capital of Rajasthan is also called the “pink city” in reference to the color of the buildings of the old city, which is surrounded by bare hills topped with fortresses and crenellated ramparts. Sacred cows, camels, elephants and rickshaws rub shoulders there.

Day 2: Exploring Jaipur: (By bus)

After breakfast, you leave for an excursion to Amber Fort. This majestic construction is located 9 km north of Jaipur, in the former capital of the Rajput empire. We go up to the top of its ramparts by 4*4.

A Bollywood evening awaits you at the legendary Raj Mandir Cinema to end your day (film sometimes with English subtitles).

In the evening meeting for group orientation, introduction of all group members from different areas, the ride, road conditions and weather.

Day 3: Jaipur - Pushkar: (By Bike-RE) (150 kms / 4h)

After a hearty breakfast, you take the road to Pushkar. It is one of the most important cities in Hinduism which welcomes you today. Pushkar and its 400 places of worship (including the only temple dedicated to Brahmâ) offer pilgrims 52 Ghats so that they can access the sacred waters in which they come to purify themselves. It is also in Pushkar that the largest camel fair in India takes place every year.

Day 4: Pushkar - Bikaner: (By Bike-RE) (250 Kms / 5h)

After breakfast, you take the road to Bikaner.

On the way, you stop at Deshnok, the Karni Mata temple. The particularity of this temple is that it is home to thousands of rats. You admire the splendid sculptures worked with extreme meticulousness. You continue the road to Bikaner.

Arrival in Bikaner, check-in at the hotel.

Visit to a leading research center located in the city of Bikaner Given the importance of the camel in the socio-economic development of arid and semi-arid areas. The camel farm maintains an elite herd of over 300 camels of the Bikaneri, Jaisalmeri, Kachchhi and Mewari breeds. The main objectives of NRCC are camel breeding and health, utilization of camel milk and its by-products like ice creams made from it, making it a one of its kind institute in India. The farm is a complex of camel stables, enclosures and buildings.

Day 5: Bikaner - Phalodi: (By Bike-RE) (170 kms / 3h)

 After breakfast, Visit Bikaner, the former princely capital of the 15th century.

You explore Junnagarh Fort, an immense citadel which contains various palaces and temples. A maze of corridors, staircases and interior courtyards awaits you.

At the bends of one of these corridors, you discover the coronation hall, the Palace of Mirrors, the Maharajah's bedroom, the weapons museum also containing elephant pods, the “conference hall” with a silver throne, as well as the first nail boards of the fakirs.

You take the road to Phalodi. In the middle of the deserts of Rajasthan, there is a majestic oasis, the Khurja resort, a true jewel!

The village is known for the large number of demoiselle cranes that visit it every winter.

A visit turns out to be the best way to understand the culture and beauty of desert life. Which is an opportunity to make contact with wild nature, very present (Indian gazelles, chinkara and nilgauts).

Day 6: Phalodi - Jodhpur - Luni: (By Bike-RE) (170 Kms / 4h)

 Today, after breakfast, you will leave for Luni. On the road you will visit Jodhpur, the “blue city”. The city is dominated by Meherangarh Fort, its harem, its sumptuous reception room, its room of cradles, its curious little palace of mirrors and its room with royal palanquins including the chiseled silver “howdah”.

 Afterwards you will see Chanwa Fort, An architectural beauty, the fort stands in this isolated region of Rajasthan. Palace Chanwa, is a heritage hotel and offers a royal atmosphere to rest and rejuvenate. You can visit Luni village, witness how people live their lives and enjoy the hospitality offered by the friendly villagers and hotel staff.

Day 7: Luni - ‘Om Banna’ motorcycle temple - Ranakpur - Kumbhalgarh: (By Bike-RE) (180 Kms / 5h)

 After breakfast, you take the road to Kumbhalgarh. On the way, you will visit the famous BikeTemple named "Om Banna Temple". After a stop to visit the Jain temples of Ranakpur. Situated at the foot of a forest slope of Aravalli words,

Ranakpur is one of the most remarkable Jain sites, both for the quality of its sculpted decorations, the complexity of the architecture of its temples, and the charm of the place animated by great religious fervor. The major work of this site is the temple of Adinath, built in the 15th century.

Continue the road towards Kumbhalgarh. Arrival and installation at the hotel.

Day 8: Kumbhalgarh - Udaipur: (By Bike-RE) (90 kms / 3h30)

 After breakfast you take the road to Udaipur the “pearl of Rajasthan” where you settle into the hotel upon your arrival.

The White City, founded by Udaisingh in the 16th century, is one of the most romantic cities in India. It is adorned with three sparkling lakes including Lake Pichola and its two palace islands (Jagniwas and Jagmandir), as well as the gigantic City Palace, located on the edge of the lake, which is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan.

After visiting the Palace, you go for a walk at your own pace through the streets of the old city as well as a visit to the Jagdish Mandir, a sanctuary dedicated to Vishnu.

 

In the afternoon, you visit the Sahelion-ki-Bari, nicknamed the Garden of Maidens, built in the 18th century by Maharana Sangram Singh for the women of the royal family who came to walk there. You will discover this superb park filled with pools animated by complex water games, marble elephants and numerous kiosks.

In the evening, you take a boat trip on Lake Pichola to enjoy the magnificent sunset.

Day 9: Udaipur - Chittorgarh - Bijaipur: (By bike-RE) (153 kms / 4h)

 After a hearty breakfast, you take the road to Bijaipur and on the way visit the imposing Chittorgarh Fort which rises above the plain. Chittorgarh is above all an exceptional site which rises 150 m from the void like a dark mass. Here, everything breathes the tragedy of those who, sword in hand, threw themselves into the face of certain death to defend the fort. The site bears witness to the act of honor of the Rajput knights and their wives committing themselves to the burning of the pyre rather than the attackers.

 

You take the road again and settle in for the night in a 17th century palace. In the evening, you are offered a short walk in the village of Bijapur.

 Day 10: Bijaipur - Bundi - Fort Chabariya: (By Bike-RE) (250 kms / 5h30)

 After breakfast, you leave for Bundi, a small town in Rajasthan with intact charm located off the beaten track. On the road, you visit the temples of Menal dating from the 12th century. In Bijolia, you discover the temples dedicated to Shiva, beautiful examples of religious architecture of this era.

 The princely city of Bundi, dominated by the fort and the Rajput Chattar Mahal palace decorated with magnificent 18th century paintings.

 Continue the road towards Fort Chabariya.

 

Day 11: Fort Chabariya - Jaipur: (By Bike-RE) (150 Kms / 3h)

 After breakfast, you leave for Jaipur. Built in 1727, Jaipur is one of the most colorful and picturesque cities in all of India.

 In the afternoon, you visit the “City Palace” and its fabulous collections of weapons and period costumes, the “JantarMantar”, an astonishing observatory built by a prince passionate about astronomy, but also the Hawa Mahal ( or Palace of the Winds), thin structure with more than 900 windows and balconies.

 At the end of the afternoon, you stroll through the bazaars of the old town by rickshaw to admire the artisans in their shops (potters, dyers, jewelers), the street vendors, and the vegetable sellers.

Day 12: Jaipur - Fatehpur sikri - Agra: (By bus) (240 kms / 5h)

 After breakfast, it is on the road to Agra that you visit Fatehpur Sikri, a most remarkable place from an artistic and architectural point of view. Fatehpur Sikri is the former capital of Emperor Akbar, built in 1571. The imperial city contains pink sandstone buildings with the most varied architectural forms: palaces, pavilions, courtyards and ponds, mosques, caravanserai.

When you arrive in Agra, you check in at the hotel.

At the end of the afternoon, you  explore the Taj Mahal. You discover this mecca of Mughal art and architecture, a luminous white marble mausoleum inlaid with semi-precious stones. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtazmahal and is considered the third wonder of the world.

Day 13: Agra - Delhi: (By bus) (220 kms / 5h):

 After breakfast, you visit the Red Fort of Agra whose high walls of red sandstone dominate the Yamuna River. It marks the birth of the Mughal imperial style and gives you the opportunity to take a last look at the Taj Mahal.

At the end of the morning you take the road to reach Delhi.

 Bathed in the holy waters of the Yamuna, Delhi was twice the capital of the empire, first with the Mughals, then in 1911, with the British. The city is divided into two very contrasting parts: New Delhi, the Victorian city with large avenues, with its business district and the parliament grouped around Connaught Place and Old Delhi, old city and capital of Muslim India, with lined streets very lively bazaars.

 At the end of the afternoon, you discover New Delhi via Rajpath, the Royal Road before admiring the India Gate, the Parliament and the Presidential Palace.

 In the evening, you share a moment of fervor with the Sikh community at the Bangla Sahib temple. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 14: Delhi / Return:

 After breakfast, you are  transferred to Delhi International Airport  to catch your return flight.
