Day 1: Bangalore (Benguluru):

You are welcomed at Bangalore airport by the representative of our local agency or by your English-speaking guide to welcome you to India. He ensures with you the transfer to the hotel that we have reserved for you for the night.

Day 2: Bangalore / Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary / Mysore (Mysuru): (150 Kms / 3h30)

This morning after breakfast you will drive to Mysore.

En route visit Ranganatitu Bird Sanctuary for the whole day.

Day 3: Mysore / Nagarahole: (100 Kms / 2h30)

Today morning after breakfast you will drive to Nagarahole.Nagarhole National Park had mixed deciduous forest to the north and west as well as dry and throne forest to the eastwith an area of ​​about 642 sq km which was the game reserve for Maharaja of Mysore earlier. It is one ofmost beautiful forest plots in South India, with a mixture of moist deciduous forests and thorny areasdry.Arrival and installation at the hotel..After doing some bird watching around the resort.Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 4: Nagarahole:

Day 6: Madumalai:

After breakfast you will proceed to Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary to see a variety of specieswild, birds.Mudumalai is a paradise for birdwatchers. Some of the Important Birds in Mudumalai BirdSanctuary are Peacock - India's national bird, gray jungle hen, gray partridge quail, spurred, spectacle-eyed plowman, great, Malabar whistling thrush, racket-tailed drone, baboonspotted, the magpie -robin, small green barbet, brown dove, green pigeons, Malabar gray hornbill, Mynahs and Bulbuls etc.Mudumalai also attracts few migratory birds. Some predominant birds are prey, hawks,eagles, buzzards, falcons, harriers and king vultures.Dinner and overnight at the hotel. 

 

Day 7: Madumalai / Palakkad: (180 Kms / 5h30)

After breakfast continue to Palakkad.Arrive check in at Tharavad Hertiage house and relax.Birdwatching around the house.Dinner and overnight at the hotel.  

 

Day 8: Palakkad / Madurai: (230 Kms / 5h30)

Today, after a hearty breakfast, you leave for Madurai where you settle in as soon as you arrive.In the afternoon, you visit the Gandhi Memoial Museum and the most famous temple in South India: Meenakshi Amman,dedicated to the fish-eyed goddess Meenakshi.In the evening you will witness the Shiva sunset ceremony. After that, check out the local marketsof Madurai around the Meenakshi temple.Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 9: Madurai / Chettinad: (90 Kms / 2h)

After breakfast, you take the departure to reach the region of Chettinad.Chettinad is the region of the Chettiars community which thrives in business and banking and whosemany members emigrated to South Asia or Southeast Asia in the 20th century.You then arrive in Chettinad and it is after settling in the hotel that you go to visit the village and theChettiar houses. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. 

 

Day 10: Chettinad / Trichi / Tanjore(Thanjavur): (140 Kms / 2h45)

After breakfast, you take the road towards Tanjore.On the way, you make a stop in Trichy to visit the Rockfort and Srirangnathswamy temples.You arrive in Tanjore in the afternoon and you settle in the hotel before leaving to discover the temple ofBrihadishvara, marvel of 10th century Chola architecture, and the very remarkable gallery of bronzes located inthe former palace of the Nayaks.Night at the hotel.

Day 11: Tanjore / Darasuram / Gangaikondacholapuram / Chidambaram / Pondicherry: (190 kms / 5h)

After breakfast, you take the road towards Pondicherry. Along the way, you visit the Dravidian templesof Darasuram, Gangaikondacholapuram and Chidambaram listed as UNESCO World Heritage.Arrival and installation at the hotel.In the evening, you will discover the city of Pondicherry by bicycle rickshaw, the Muslim quarter at the edge ofsea ​​passing by the Goubert market and the historic town.Night at the hotel.  

Day 12: Pondicherry (Puducherry):

Day 14: Pondicherry / Chennai: (150 Kms / 3h20)

After breakfast, you depart for Chennai. Along the way, you visit the temples of Kanchipuram,ancient capital of the Pallava dynasty as well as the temples of Ekambareswara and Kailasanathar.Arrival and installation at hotel.After you will leave for visit the Kapaleshwar temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, before continuing to Fort St. George and itsmuseum.Later, you will discover the magnificent Cathedral of San Thom. Built in the 16th century by the Portuguese, it had thebasilica status. Day 15: Chennai / Departure:
