Explore South India on a thrilling 14-day motorbike tour from Benguluru to Kochi.

Visit cultural landmarks, lush hill stations, spice plantations, and serene backwaters, experiencing the diverse beauty and traditions of the region.

Day 1: Banguluru Arrival:

 You are welcomed at Banguluru airport by the representative of our local agency or by your English-speaking guide to welcome you to India.

Further he ensures with you the transfer to the hotel that we have reserved for you for the

night.

Day 2: Banguluru to Mysuru (150kms to 3h15): (By Motorbike)

 After having breakfast, you depart towards Mysuru.

When you arrive, you check into the hotel before going to visit the Chamundi temple and the Mysuru palace.

Rebuilt in 1912 after the ravages of a fire in 1897, the palace of the Maharaja of Mysore is arguably one of the finest in India. The direction of the work was led by a British architect: Henry Irwin and several styles there, were being mixed (we find in particular the Indo-Muslim, Oriental and Dravidian arts).

Note: On Saturday and Sunday evenings Mysuru Palace is illuminated.Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel. 

 

Day 3:  Mysuru to Ooty (130 Kms / 3h): (By Motorbike) 

Today, after a solid breakfast, you take the road to Ooty, a small hill station located on theNilgiris mountain range. It's a long day ahead of you as we leave Kerala and Tamil Nadu toreach Niligiri through a winding road.The journey to Coonoor Ghat is one of the most scenic in South India. It offers you a superb view of plains and splendid forests of palms and other trees.

Passing by the small station of  Coonoor, we continue our way through the many tea plantations and coffee to reach Ooty where we stay for the next two nights.

After 3 hours of travel, you arrive in Ooty and you settle in the hotel and your evening is made free so that you can take full advantage of this small mountain resort.

Day 4: Ooty to Conoor (train): 

After having breakfast, you board a train that takes you to Coonoor through the mountains. Onarriving, you visit the town of Coonoor.You then drive back to Ooty and discover “the queen of southern hill stations” which has long been a haven for British officials and tea planters in South India. Located at 2,286 m high altitude, the climate in winter is indeed much colder there than in the plain and the evenings can be quite cool there.

For those who wish, we offer a pleasant walk to Snowdon Peak (2,450 m) through avery varied flora (eucalyptus, conifers, Shola), before returning to the city to discover the Botanical Garden which contain more than 1,000 varieties of plants, shrubs and trees (such as orchids, ferns and other plants alpine all grouped in the middle of beautiful lawns).

At the end of the afternoon, you stroll through the bazaars of the city where you can taste the local chocolate.

Day 5: Ooty to Palakkad (163 kms / 4h) (By Motorbike) 

After having breakfast, you leave ooty to reach Palakkad. You settle into the hotel as soon as you arrive.You then go to visit the Kalpathy temple. Also known as Kasi-Viswanathaswamy,  is avery popular hindu temple. You then continue with the visit of the Malampuzha Rock garden, the first garden built of this kind in South India. You will discover impressive works in a calm and peaceful atmosphere.Later, you will also discover the Fort of the city. Built in 1766, it is located in the heart of the city and remains one of the best preserved forts in Kerala. 

In the afternoon, you take an excursion to Dhoni-Falls. Located about 15km from the city of Palakkad, this waterfall is a very popular place and loved by tourists, especially for trekking.

After reaching the top, you have a superb view of the jungle as well as the waterfall where you can swim to refresh yourself.Return to the hotel.

Day 6: Palakkad to Munnar (160 kms / 4h30) (By Motorbike) 

After having breakfast, departure for Munnar and you settle in the hotel upon your arrival.Later, you go to visit the Tata Tea Museum (tea museum) and the magnificent tea plantations.(Closed on Mondays).

Day 7: Munnar Exploration:

After having breakfast, city tour of Munnar, Eravikulam National Park, Rajamala Peak, Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point will fill your day.

Day 8: Munnar to Madurai (152 Kms / 4h30) (By Motorbike)

 Today, after a solid breakfast, you depart for Madurai where you get settled upon arrival.In the afternoon, you visit the most famous temple in South India: Meenakshi Amman(mother), dedicated to the goddess Meenakshi with fish eyes.In the evening, you discover the local markets of Madurai located around the temple of Meenakshi.

 Day 9: Madurai to Periyar (150 Kms / 3h30) (By Motorbike)

 After having breakfast, you take the road to Thekkady, a small village located near the Periyar reserve andmany spice plantations. You settle into the hotel on arrival.At the end of the afternoon, you visit the spice plantations of Kumily, where, among other things, cardamom, pepper, ginger and curcumin.

A boat safari in periyar lake is planned for the evening. (If, for any impediment, we are inthe impossibility of doing the boat tour tonight, we will postpone this activity to the next morning)

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.  

 

Day 10: Periyar:

After having breakfast, there are many activities offered on site that occupy your day.You go for a walk in a park, you also do a jeep tour in the surroundings as well as a boat ride on the lake or an elephant ride through the jungle.

You can also stay at the hotel if you wish and enjoy its swimming pool or Ayurvedic treatments there offered.

Return to the hotel after having dinner overnight stay at hotel. 

 

Day 11:  Periyar to Alappuzha (129 Kms / 4h) (By Motorbike)

After having lunch, you leave for Alappuzha.Upon arrival, you have settled into your hotel before heading out for a walk through the retaining canals to explore the surrounding villages.

Day 12: Alappuzha to Cochin (Kochi)(70 Kms/ 2h30) (By Motorbike)

 In the morning, after a hearty breakfast, you will drive to CochinArrival and installation in Cochin.In the afternoon, you visit the Church of Saint Francis and the Basilica of Santa Cruz.

It is in the evening that you set off to explore the Fort Kochi district to visit the huge fishing netschinese hanging.

Day 13: Cochin Exploration: 

This morning, after having breakfast, you leave for the visit of the palace of Mattanchéry. Also called "The Dutch Palace", this Palace was built in 1555 by the Portuguese (the first Westerners to arrive in the region) as a gift for the king of Cochin, Veera Kerala Varma.Its nickname was given to it following the restoration undertaken by the Dutch in 1663. Despite its Western origins, the palace is built in the Indo-Keralese style, with beautiful worked frames, magnificent coffered ceilings painted walls and roofs reminiscent of Chinese pagodas. 

In the afternoon, you go to visit the Kochi Synagogue, the oldest synagogue in all the countries of the Commonwealth (closed on Fridays and Saturdays), and the Jewish Quarter.

In the evening, you will have the chance to attend the Indian classical dance Kathakali.

Day 14: Cochin to Return flight: 

This morning After having breakfast, you are being transferred to Cochin airport to take your return flight.
